The Music Therapy Program at Brooks Rehabilitation offers a 6 month (40 hours/week) intensive internship for students who have completed their undergraduate coursework in music therapy at an AMTA approved university. Students will have the opportunity to serve various populations throughout the Brooks System of Care within various settings. There are two internship spots available per cycle. Cycles run from January to July and June to December.
Music therapy interns will learn and utilize Neurologic Music Therapy treatment techniques. Students will observe and lead individual and group sessions with patients, residents, and clients. Various opportunities for collaboration with other disciplines (such as physical, occupational, and speech therapists) will be offered throughout the course of the internship.

Please Note: This internship is not on the AMTA national roster of internships. Therefore, Brooks requires a signed university affiliation agreement to qualify for internship. This may be obtained after application submission.
