Sarah J. LaRosa is a native Floridian who is a graduate of the University of Florida, University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she attended the Graduate Certificate Program in Low Vision Rehabilitation designated specifically for occupational therapists seeking advanced training. Sarah is also a recent graduate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in the post-professional doctorate of occupational therapy program.

Sarah obtained her Certified Low Vision Therapist credential from the ACVREP and the Board Specialty Certification in the area of Low Vision from the AOTA in 2014. She played a key role in program development for Brooks Rehabilitation located in Jacksonville, FL in the opening of their Center for Low Vision where she continues to work full time as a low vision occupational therapist. Sarah LaRosa, alongside low vision optometry, has developed vision rehabilitation services throughout a system wide continuum of care within Brooks Rehabilitation ranging from acute care to the home care division. A passion for teaching has allowed her the opportunity to disseminate education to licensed allied rehabilitation specialists through continuing education courses, graduate level students of occupational therapy, and to persons seeking the occupational therapy assistant credential.
