Dr. Jacqueline Osborne currently serves as the Geriatric Residency Program Coordinator for the Brooks Institute of Higher Learning.
Bio:

Dr. Jacqueline Osborne currently serves as the Geriatric Residency Coordinator for the Brooks Institute of Higher Learning. Her responsibilities include developing geriatric specific residency curriculum, serving as a mentor to all geriatric residents, and contributing to the program/curriculum development for all Brooks Physical Therapy Residency and Occupational Therapy Fellowship programs. She achieved Board Certification in Geriatrics in 2007. Dr. Osborne co-authored a recent publication through the American Physical Therapy Association: A Clinical Practice Guideline for the Physical Therapist Management of Individuals with Parkinson Disease. She has worked closely with Movement Disorder Specialists and has developed expertise in working with individuals with different neurodegenerative disorders over the course of her 19 year career. Dr. Osborne has also been an invited speaker at many local and national events and conferences. She serves as the Director of Publications and Partnerships for APTA Geriatrics, as the Chair of the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education, and was recently appointed to the 2022 President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition Science Board to support the development of the Physical Activity Guidelines Midcourse Report on Older Adults.

Areas of Interest:

Dr. Osborne develops and delivers geriatric specific residency curriculum, serves as a mentor to all geriatric residents, and contributes to the program/curriculum development for all Brooks Physical Therapy Residency and Occupational Therapy Fellowship programs. She also performs administrative duties associated with residency programs including collecting and organizing data to ensure the residents and fellows successful completion of their programs and to ensure compliance required for accreditation.
