Bio:

Dr. Jordan heads up the Brooks Center for Low Vision Therapy where she works with patients who have low vision and need visual services and devices beyond traditional corrective lenses. She works closely with Florida Division of Blind Services to assist patients. Dr. Jordan also consults on patients in the Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital and at the Bartram campus, where she makes recommendations to help minimize the effects of visual changes on their rehabilitation process. She also teaches the CEU Course Vision Rehabilitation: Understanding and Managing Visual Impairments Across the Continuum of Care.

Education & Training:

Dr. Jordan graduated with her OD, Magna cum Laude, from the University of Houston, College of Optometry. She also holds her Bachelor’s of Science degree in exercise science from Florida State University.

Dr. Jordan belongs to the American Academy of Optometry and the American Optometry Association, and has been honored with numerous awards and accolades, including the Reubin O’D Askew Young Alumni Award, Excellence in Low Vision Award, Presidential Graduate Fellowship, the Nelson Reber Eye Open Award and the Dr. A.C. Marcaccio Memorial Scholarship.
